Introduction

This PAIA Manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) as amended. It describes how to request access to records held by Sinai Berakah (Pty) Ltd.

Sinai Berakah is committed to transparency and to honouring the constitutional right of access to information.

Categories of Records Held

Sinai Berakah holds the following categories of records:

  • Corporate records — MOI, share register, resolutions, statutory filings.
  • Financial records — invoices, contracts, bank records, tax filings.
  • Personnel records — employment contracts, payroll records, leave records.
  • Client records — subscription agreements, correspondence, support records.
  • Platform records — system logs, audit trails, security incident records.
  • Intellectual property — software code, training materials, documentation.

How to Submit a Request

Requests for access to records must be submitted in writing using the standard PAIA Form C prescribed by the Department of Justice.

  1. Complete Form C (available from the South African Government website).
  2. Describe the record requested with sufficient detail to enable identification.
  3. State the form of access required (inspection, copy, etc.).
  4. Pay the prescribed request fee of R50.00 (where applicable).
  5. Submit by email to legal@volentegy.co.za.

Sinai Berakah will respond within 30 days of receipt of a properly completed request.

Grounds for Refusal

Access to records may be refused on grounds including but not limited to:

  • The record contains information that would unreasonably disclose another person's personal information.
  • The record constitutes trade secrets or confidential commercial information.
  • Disclosure would prejudice the commercial or financial interests of Sinai Berakah.
  • The record is subject to legal professional privilege.
